Leading Creatives is a program divided into 3 modules completed within 6 months. This practical training program combines coaching, gaining knowledge, and working on your own development question. With tailored guidance, you will develop into an effective leader and an inspiration for your organization.

 

There are plenty of creative leadership coaching programs, but not one that specifically focuses on leading a creative team. That truly requires different skills.

 

Program and information

In this module, you develop your creative leadership. You will transition from creator to leader. What does this new role require of you as a person?

  • The skillset and roles of the creative leader
  • Your creative DNA and personality type according to DISC
  • Understanding the personality types of your team members
  • Developing a positive communication style

 

In module 2, you delve deeper into your role as the leader of a creative team and fostering innovation within the organization. You will work on a leadership vision and an innovation challenge.

  • Researching your innovation needs
  • Developing creative thought leadership
  • Setting up effective creative processes
  • Stimulating team engagement

 

In this module, you will work on your role as a leader for the brand and the organization. How do you build effective collaborations with clients and stakeholders? The focus can also be internal: How do you ensure that your creative team is seen as an authority, rather than simply being “you ask, we deliver”? Your vision of leadership serves as the starting point for the development question in this module and determines the impact you can have on the creative direction of your team and brand.

Personal Coaching
Personal coaching offers a fully customized experience. In one-on-one sessions with coach Lisa van Noorden, you receive full attention. This gives you the space to deeply explore your personal goals, challenges, and development. This approach is ideal if you need intensive guidance, direct feedback, and want to see rapid results in your personal and professional growth.

Personal coaching is optimally flexible. The content of the third module can be fully tailored to your needs, and there is always room to add extra sessions to delve deeper into specific themes. The schedule is flexible, with sessions taking place at your own workplace or at the Versdenkers studio in Rotterdam.

The personal coaching consists of 8 sessions, totaling 16 hours.

Small Group Training (maximum 3 people)
In small group training, you learn together with up to two other participants, creating a very personal and interactive setting. The advantage is that, because the group is so small, there is still ample room for individual attention, while you also benefit from learning from the experiences and insights of the other participants. The dynamic of a small group encourages collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and networking. This is perfect if you want to combine the benefits of group interaction with sufficient personal guidance.

The small group training follows a fixed program. The dates are set at the beginning of the program. All sessions take place at the Versdenkers studio in Rotterdam, or online. This makes the small group coaching less flexible than personal coaching.

The small group coaching consists of 8 sessions, totaling 20 hours.

After participating in the Leading Creatives coaching program, I initiated a clear change of course as a creative team leader at Ping Media. A central question was: what steps do we need to take to become a thought leader in the smart video industry?

The insights gained led me to increasingly focus on the conceptual and strategic aspects of our work, while gradually letting go of more executive tasks. We consciously decided to fully focus on Smart Video projects.

Currently, we are managing several large and complex projects in which I play a key role as Creative Director. The training provided me with tools to perform this role much more effectively: in communication with my team, in delegation, and also as a person.

Another important decision made as a result of this training was the appointment of a new colleague who handles more of the HR responsibilities. This allows me to fully concentrate on the creative vision and product development at Ping Media, which aligns well with my strengths and the insights I gained during the coaching program at Versdenkers.

All these steps contribute to our ambition to position Ping Media as a thought leader in the smart video industry, while I continue to develop my role as Creative Director.

As a creative manager at a communications agency, I missed the bridge between creativity on one side, and strategy and leadership on the other. This program began with an in-depth reflection on my personal leadership, where Lisa encouraged me to look in the mirror and clearly identify my strengths and opportunities for growth. In addition, Lisa helped our creative agency map out the team based on different personalities, which proved to be immensely valuable. She also conducted the Leary’s Rose workshop with us, which gave our team insight into each other's characters and communication styles.
